Platform rescue boat davit is special equipment used onboard for launching and recovering a rescue boat (Launching the rescue boat from the platform to sea level and recovering the rescue boat from sea level to the stowed position of the platform). 

In the case of power, the electric motor drives the hydraulic pump to supply hydraulic oil to the hydraulic winch. Pass thought reduction gear to drive drum to rotate, make the rescue.

In case of failure of power, by remote controlling the manual handle for gravity lower, afford hydraulic oil by accumulator, the rescue boat can lower to sea level depending on its gravity. At this time, the platform rescue boat davit can lower the boat only, can’t recover. At the same time, the manual pump may be also used to offer power to lower the rescue boat.

Platform rescue boat davit is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of SOLAS 96 Amendments, LSA CODE MSC.48(66) & MSC.218(82) and IMO MSC.81(70) & MSC.226(82).
